News Release: Alzheimer's Association, National Capital Area to hold 5th Annual Celebrity Fashion Show on Friday, May 10, 2002





FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:   March 19, 2002

The Alzheimer's Association, National Capital Area, will hold its 5th Annual Celebrity Fashion Show on Friday, May 10, at the Hilton McLean at Tysons from 12 noon until 2 p.m.

The emcees of this year's event will be Rick "Doc" Walker of SportsTalk980 and Peggy Fox and Jess Atkinson of 9 Eyewitness News.

Last year's show, which raised $100,000 to assist individuals, families and caregivers in Northern Virginia, suburban Maryland and Washington, DC impacted by Alzheimer's disease or a related disorder, featured over 30 area celebrity models including local television, radio and sports personalities, political leaders, CEO's from area businesses and many others.

The mission of the Alzheimer's Association, National Capital Area is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research, and enhance care and support for individuals, their families and caregivers.
