Forum on Dementia and Depression |

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Fairfax, VA)-- March 5, 1999 -- The Northern Virginia Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association will sponsor an informational forum, "The Double Jeopardy of Dementia and Depression," on Tuesday, April 13 at the Truro Episcopal Church in Fairfax. The 90-minute session will address the similarities and differences between dementia and depression, the significance of an accurate diagnosis and the delineation of effective treatments and strategies for improving mood and function in persons with Alzheimer's disease. Randolph A. Frank, Jr., M.D., Board Certified Geriatric Psychiatrist with Columbia Dominion Hospital in Falls Church, will be the featured speaker. Alzheimer's Association informational forums are free of charge and open to the public. Free parking is available.
