$38.6 Million Approved by Gov. Gilmore

$38.6 million of state budget amendments sought by the Northern Virginia Chapter have been approved by the Virginia General Assembly and Governor Jim Gilmore.

Over $6.3 million was added for the Chapter's two 1999 Platform planks (home and community based care programs and the auxiliary grant rate). More than $32 million was budgeted to provide for more inspections of long-term care facilities, expand adult protective services, and increase the personal care rate and the adult day health care rate, among other projects.
