The Alzheimer�s Association, Northern Virginia Chapter�s Grant Program is operated to assist in the funding of non-profit programs that provide hands-on services to Alzheimer�s patients. These programs play a major role in providing an avenue for our Chapter to fulfill our mission.

To support patients and families, educate both the general public and health professions about Alzheimer�s disease and related disorders, and support research endeavors with the hope of finding a cure.

The Alzheimer�s Association is willing to consider the funding of programs that provide the following:

  • A direct focus on persons suffering from Alzheimer�s disease and related disorders
  • A program that is able to carry the name of Alzheimer�s Association
  • A program that will provide hands-on activities to enhance the lives of those suffering from Alzheimer�s disease

Restrictions for Alzheimer�s Grant Program:

  • Grants will not be awarded for capital/operational purposes
  • Grant commitments are made for one year (fiscal year July 1 to June 30)
  • Grants will be awarded to programs that are located within our Chapter territory

The deadline for submission of proposals is March 1, 1999. Proposals must be received by 4:00 p.m. on this date. Approval of proposals will be completed in June 1999, and you will be notified of your proposal status before July 1, 1999. Programs submitting multiple applications should rank each application to desired priority for committee consideration.
