Four Family Forums Slated: Fall 1997
Four Alzheimer�s Information Forums are slated to be held from October into December, 1997. The forums are free of charge and open to the public. Free parking is available at each site. Call the Chapter (703/359-4440) to RSVP, for more information, and for specific directions to the forum sites.

Families: Face to Face with Grief and Loss |
With Alzheimer�s disease, the grief process often begins years before death and continues a little piece at a time. Presenters will explore "anticipatory" grief experienced by family members as well as the diagnosed person�s grief -- over loss of self, loss of skills, loss of independence, loss of dreams. Ways to cope more effectively will be explored.
