Who Should Attend

  • Family members caring for persons with Alzheimer's and other dementias;
  • persons concerned about family and friends with dementia;
  • family members who manage care provided by others for loved ones with dementia;
  • community health care providers;
  • nursing home, assisted living and adult day center staff, and
  • others helping diagnosed individuals and families dealing with dementia.

  • To explore ways to be a successful caregiver;
  • to expand your ability to tap into your own creativity while caregiving;
  • to find ways to balance time and energy for all family members living with persons with dementia;
  • to gain an understanding of recent advances in Alzheimer's research and treatment;

  • to gain insights about changes in caregiving from one day to the next;
  • to strive for physical, emotional and spiritual balance in your life;
  • to use games and other activities to maintain the skills and well-being of persons with dementia, and
  • to gain enjoyment and experience good feelings about being with the person with dementia.
